Our first vacation: Newport, Oregon

We had such a good time at the beach. Our campsite was in the trees in a huge campground, where you could walk to the beach- which was pretty cool. And there was practically no one there since it's winter. Although it was pretty cold the whole time, we still had fun, and got to have campfire for 1 night at least ( Saturday it was raining) We walked on the beach each morning and looked for shells. Sunday the sun came out and it was just beautiful! We saw a bald eagle perched in a dead tree on the cliff at the beach and it was so neat to see. I can't believe how BIG it was, seriously as big as a person:) We went to the aquarium and when Cole was awake he liked looking around at all the fish and weird people. We bought some crab and bbq'd it at camp and had a feast in Mike and Audra's trailer. In all it was a successful first trip in the trailer with Cole, and I think we'll be doing it again soon!

Mommy, Grandmommy and the little stinker

Hello family and friends!! Finally i'm writing my first blog ever. Mom swears it's easy and if she can do it then i can. So here goes! So our little cole was born October 11th 2007 as you all know. I can't believe how much he has grown up! He's already a little man! Billy says we need to start "making another one" I said wait a minute he's not THAT grown up yet!!! But he's the cutest thing ever. He's smiling up a storm, he can almost roll over, he's making louder and louder noises everyday, he's able to see me across the room now ( so much for sneaking:)) and he's already had his first haircut and is almost ready for another one! It's amazing how much they change from week to week. He's a pretty easy baby but when the clock strikes 5 pm he likes to turn into this monster that won't eat or sleep or do anything except scream at the top of his lungs for no reason. That's the fun part. At first Billy thought that it was because Cole didn't like him, and that bothered him ALOT, but come to find out that it happens to alot of babies towards their fathers, and especially if the baby is overly tired ( cole won't sleep!) which he is. So we are working through this phase. He is a trooper though and I'm not afraid to take him everywhere. This weekend we're going to go camping in the trailer at the coast, so we'll see how Cole's first camping trip goes. Should be fun because it's right next to the sand and water. Yay!
